Crews from the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department were called to a house fire at around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, where they were met by fire showing from the first and second floors of the building with multiple burn victims that had to escape from a second-story window.
Four occupants were transported to the burn center in DC and one transported to a local hospital. Their conditions was not available late on Thursday afternoon.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
Officials made note that there were no smoke detectors in the home at the time of the fire.
